A spring trip for a large group from the agricultural sector. The participants were experienced travelers, who have seen half of the world thanks to an incentive travel scheme continued over a number of years. The short period of time the customer has earmarked for the trip posed a considerable challenge as well.
The Customer’s group, made up of several dozen participants, was taken for a unique trip through Japan. The 9-day itinerary made it possible to become acquainted with the traditional and modern face of this island country. While in Tokyo, we visited the Sensoji temple, took a traditional rickshaw ride through the old streets of Asakusa, and enjoyed a truly unique dinner on a traditional Japanese ship sailing on the waters of the Tokyo Bay. We admired the Palace of Japanese Emperors and spent some time at a superb shopping location. While on our way to the holy Fuji Mountain, we stopped to admire the Samurai castle. Some time was spent bathing in the onsens – Japanese hot springs. We took the bullet train – the Shinkansen – to Kyoto. We visited the beautiful businessmen’s shrine – Fushimi Inari, and learned about the history and the art of making Japan’s national drink – sake – in a local distillery.
Evenings were spent in the Gion district – the most famous and the oldest entertainment quarter in Tokyo. We visited a traditional tea plantation and learned about the “Tea route”, i.e. the tea brewing ritual. The participants enjoyed a diverse range of meals, which gave them a feeling for the traditional Japanese cuisine. They tried the sashimi, shabu shabu and kaiseki. Overall, the trip has turned out to be a very interesting experience, further enhanced by the direct LOT Airlines flight between Warsaw and Tokyo.
